I'm going to make it a point to remember today.

Just for the record. It was about 11:10 this morning (September 28th, 2009). I'll remember the odd feeling of elation and anxiety forever. I don't wanna forget where I was, what I was doing, and more importantly, what I was thinking at the time, so I'm gonna make sure I record the moment for posterity. Whenever I want, I'll look back at this blog post and say to myself, "oh yeah. I remember that..."

That's all.

Tim O'Reilly on the future of Web 2.0

A great talk by Tim O'Reilly on the future of the web. For those who aren't familiar with Tim O'Reilly, he's the guy behind O'Reilly books and the guy who coined the term "Web 2.0". It's a great talk and an interesting look at where the web's going. This year's Web 2.0 Summit is only a couple of weeks away and the theme is "Web Squared". From the site: "Our conversation is no longer just about the Web. Now is the time to put the power of the Web to work—its technologies, its business models, and perhaps most importantly, its philosophies of openness, collective intelligence, and transparency."

Sounds pretty cool. Can't wait for this year's speakers and sessions.

Stompin Stu - The story of BMX legend Stu Thomsen

From the same team that produced the documentary "Joe Kid on a Stingray", this is the story of the greatest rider in the history of BMX, Stu Thomsen. When I was 13, I bought a Redline Proline for one reason: Stu rode one. It was black and red, Stu's colors. Perry Kramer might've had the PK Ripper, but Redline had Stu, and nothing else came close.
