Fox's Lie and Hannity's Apology

A reader of Andrew Sullivan's blog writes in and nails it.

Well yeah. That's obvious for anybody who thinks about it for at least 2 seconds. But still. A disingenuous apology from Hannity is still a huge step forward in my book.

Actually, not really in my book. It's the idea that this was all a huge accident. You know, "hey, we're sorry, we don't know HOW that happened" when the author of the letter on Sullivan's blog makes the excellent case about how that process actually works. Sometimes an apology is just another opportunity to lie again, and that's exactly what they (Fox) did. In my opinion, it's just as bad as the original lie.
